March βSelf-Kindnessβ Mini Yoga Retreat in East Sussex
Start your morning a bit differently
On Saturday 2nd March 2024, I will be running a mini yoga retreat in my Sussex Yoga studio in Maresfield, East Sussex. This retreat is focused on self-kindness and mindfulness towards ourselves. It can be hard to take time for ourselves, to fully focus on ourselves; no distractions, no interruptions. We all have a tendency to put a lot of pressure on ourselves, to be a certain way, or perhaps we think negatively about ourselves, our bodies, our lives. We may feel stuck, or tired, too busy, too much to do and never enough time to do what we need to do or we may simply feel that we donβt have enough βme-timeβ. Taking time to focus on ourselves for a few hours, and really focus on our wellbeing and doing something good for ourselves is what this mini retreat is all about.
What to Expect
You can arrive any time from 9.45am to get yourself ready, have a cup of tea and walk around our lovely forest or field before we sit down on our mats in the studio at 10am. Places are limited so weβll have plenty of space. Mats and props are provided.
Weβll start the morning with a check-in and bodyscan before doing a 60min Hatha Strength & Flow sequence, focussing on heart openers, strength and poses that will help us relieve stress and feel good about ourselves.
We will then do some cleansing Face Yoga before taking a break.
During the break, a healthy juice and herbal teas, fresh fruit and healthy snacks will be served and everyone will have the chance to ask questions or go for a walk in our forest or field.
We will then come back for a breathwork exercise. How we breathe is vital to our well-being and some of the breathing techniques we will be doing are known to lower our heart rate, improve our heart health, increase mental clarity and decrease anxiety and stress.
We will then do a 1hr Yin Yoga sequence to further help calm and balance the mind and body, release fascia and increase our circulation, flexibility and joint mobility.
We will then finish with a 15 minute guided meditation for the ultimate relaxation and self-care.
Who is it for?
This retreat is aimed at all abilities. You can be completely new to yoga or you can be a seasoned yogi. The sequences are slow paced and modifications will be offered so that it suits everyone.
It is for anyone who simply needs some me-time as we head into longer days and busy schedules. It is suitable if you are looking to increase your flexibility or your strength through yoga, is looking to de-stress or simply try face yoga or yin yoga if you have not tried that before!

What is the cost?
The cost for the retreat is Β£60 and includes all classes, props, a selection of herbal teas, fresh fruit and healthy snacks. Once payment is made your booking is confirmed. Please note that there is limited spaces and space cannot be guaranteed until payment is made.
Is there free parking?
Yes, you can park on-site or nearby. All free.
Do I need to bring anything?
Mats and props will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own would you wish to do so.
A water bottle is always good to bring and you can bring a soft blanket for Savasana, meditation or for relaxing should you wish to do so.
Wellies and rain jacket if it is raining and you want to go for a wander during break time.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation any time up until 7 days before the event. Full refund provided.
Cancellations within 7 days of the event will not be refunded unless the place can be re-sold to someone else before the day of the event.
